I put extra mic padding over the current mic padding to get rid of the wind sound

Morning rush hour on the A1 Black Cat to Baldock

Re: Morning rush hour on the A1 Black Cat to Baldock

Do that here and you get honked at, though it isn't illegal. I'm thinking seriously of trying it this summer in a bikini, maybe with a sign on my back: 'HONK IF YOU LIKE LANESHARING! :)'

Think it would work? LOL Traffic is just awful here.

In Kansas City (I've been in much worse, but didn't have my camera):

In Chicago (Holy. Crap. Seriously. Horrible traffic. Lanesharing starts around 1:30):

Portsmouth to Bedford, in under 11 minutes.

Continual photo mode on my drift stealth, broke the little plastic helmet mount :( so had to use the suction mount, could have done with rotating all the images a bit but, here it is warts and all, my ride this morning

Fareham (near Portsmouth) to Bedford today 19th Jan

Just trying my Drift Stealth mounted on top of crash helmet

I have one of these, green. I prefer open face crash helmets a lot of the time on local trips especially, not much good for riding long haul in bad weather though. Have to next try it with an external mic fitted on this helmet.

and I am still messing about with similar video and sound editing techniques, but I am getting there, slowly. :)

I really don't understand all this codec gubbins, I normally just snip the clips put them into freemake and then upload them, but today I converted them into .wmv first then edited them in live movie maker.

Caught out in rain and hail one January evening.

Listen closely you can hear me shout in pain and frustration, okay I was hamming it up for the internal microphone, but. :D Open face crash helmet you see... Wasn't supposed to rain.

I shall be updating this thread, with another upload of the same clip in a bit, as I'm getting to grips with techy settings of Quick Time and .Mov and want to see how they compare and contrast as I learn all this techy gubbins.

as outlined here;
http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1297408

but it's taking for ever and a week to process the clip in Quick Time!

Following some advice from here, I set the internal mic (not much used the external one yet) to minimum, and set exposure to maximum.

This is how I park my bike, it is a tight squeeze!

Hindhead Tunnel

My bike made a glorious noise, but it didn't sound so good on the recording, so i cut it to Dumpy's Rusty Nuts instead

A quick tour of my motorbike.

Re: A quick tour of my motorbike.

Great looking motorcycle. I really like the lines and angles the Fz1 has, makes it look a little more aggressive.

just messing about with windows live movie editor etc

I used
youtube downloader
freemake video converter
www.mp3cut.net
and
widows live movie maker

Minus seven on my Yamaha Fazer

Apparently my final destination was minus 7 as I arrived just after 9am today.

Audio not great, external mic, open face helmet. My bike sounds flipping horrible on audio, like an angry bee in a plastic bottle inside a cupboard, spoils everything it does, and is worse on an open face.

Had a fiddle with Audacity, but gave up dazed and confused this evening. The above is what I could salvage out of the mornings filming.
