My name is Anders and I was born in Sweden in 1965 and I'm fairly new to Adventure Motorcycling and I hope to get started with my Video Log and Blog this summer when I ride around the Baltic Sea on my bike. I've always was adventurous though and I always liked bikes, I just didn't combine the two until recently. I've been in the Diving Industry for a long time. Already at the age of 5 I told my mother, after been watching The Silent World” by Jacques Cousteau, that when I grew up I would be a diver in the Red Sea and years later when I was “grown up” and moved to Egypt to work with diving in the Red Sea.

During my time in Egypt I further developed another passion of mine - writing - and published four books describing Dive Sites in the Red Sea with maps and briefings. I also started and edited an online magazine with my friend James Dawson and I run a website with Red Sea information that became popular for travellers and divers all around the world. Also I wrote articles for magazines in different parts of the world mainly about the diving in the Red Sea.

In Egypt my friend Kimmo Hagman and I bought a BAJAJ scooter each from that I went via a Virago 250 and a Honda Shadow 1100 to in the end ride around on a Honda Shadow 600 which is the perfect size bike for living in Hurghada. We also went for a round trip to Luxor which resulted in an article for The EQUALIZER in 2011.

Around On A Bike started as an idea and it is now underway to becoming a reality. I've had the idea to ride around the Baltic Sea for a long time, along with many other ideas of riding around other places - hence the name "Around On A Bike". I wanted the name to be open for other projects in the future so if I called it Around The Baltic On A Bike" I could not carry on around the river Nile or any other place. Also I wanted the name to work as a reply to the question "What have you been up to since I saw you last?"

I hope to get a lot of advice from reading this page and improve my skills in the future.

Cheers
Anders

Thanks buddy! I hope I'll be able to get some cool videos together.

Right now I have a Honda Shadow and a Yamaha Ténénré. The latter will join me for the ride around the Baltic.
