Rant Retarded Laws - Ban On Tinted Visors

I wonder who came up with this and what their thought process was (I bet they wear sunglasses while driving). I live in the USA so the most retarded law in relation to motorcycles would be that we have no lane filtering in any state other than California, and that's probably the way it's gonna stay for a long time.

We currently just have a huge tangled mess of incoherent motorcycle legislation.. Tinted visor enforcement by the police out of the blue is odd and totally idiotic. I still can't believe it when I see people posting how they've received a fine for wearing one.

I can think of several reasons most of which but not all, are entirely selfish: 1. Australia is the most heavily regulated 'half full pond' in the world - regulators love 'power' and they certainly get turned on by a job for life. 2. Regulation serves the bureaucratic meantality of most middle and Snr aged Australians. 3. Regulation will be protect the home market for domestic manufacturers. 4. Cheap Chinese and Other Asian manufacture tinted visors poorly control available light. 5. Cheap visors have a nasty habit of splintering on impact and piercing the eye. All in all I think the regulation is about right.

laws don't have to make sense. They just make them so they can rob you of your money and justify it. I got a ticket the other day for pulling my car through a parking space so that I was facing out.

Now that is the kind of thing that makes me bloody mad.I put it at the top of the list with hidden speed cameras and retards that hog overtaking lanes.

Good ol Aussie laws.... I saw a Melbourne motovlogger got done for tinted visor and camera mounted to helmet! Because the camera (3M tapped on) compromised the structural integrity of the helmet........ wuut? aha.

Pretty gay. But is the community can come together and prove that tinted visors save lives, and also prove that it should be illegal for "night"use maybe it can sway towards change.

My damaged eyes need sunglasses plus my tinted visor sometimes, I would have a fit over this..
Most places in the U.S. you can get a note from your PCM stating you need "protection from the sun". Do not know how it would play out though.
