Hey guys if u dnt know already ive had my motorbike frame in the body shop and just got it back. My fairing on the otherhand havnt been resprayed yet as the company that was going to do it are now shut till september and im having troubles looking for a place to get them done. 1 place im still waiting to hear back from but its looking like i might have to do the painting myself, and i need some tips:
What taps can i use to put stripes on the fairings?
Any generals tips?

Thankyou guys Z xx

IMHO stripes on the fairing will look a bit naff, but I'm not an expert on style by any means

I believe preparing surfaces for painting takes quite a bit of time. If I was to do it I'd sand the surface until it was very smooth (lots of time), then prime it, then spray few coats of the colour, then spray clear coat. If you spray any of that stuff on too thick it'll run and make it look rubbish.

Make sure to mask off any holes for bolts etc. I've never painted a motorcycle fairing before but I think that's the general idea.

I seriously suggest finding somewhere else to do it, or wait until September.
My uncle resprayed my old moped at home . He's a bike mechanic, and does a bit of spraying as well. The finish was ok, but not great. Spraying at home to a high standard is difficult, and you need to keep the temperature at about 25*C all the time, and keep everything 100% dust free. Watching him do it, I wouldn't even want to attempt it, especially if I wanted my bike to look mint.

It takes alot of time in prep. You cant rush it or you will have to start over. I did a bit of spraying on mine tho and it came out well. There are plenty of guides on the web, read a few and see
