Reasemble the front when forks have been removed, help!

good point ... a thought just now... mechanics are much more familiar with the 'normal' pressure involved in tightening up such things.

I didnt use one. I just tightened the shit out of it.

Cant remember the last time i used a Torque wrench...I've tighten a few nuts in my time...wagga wagga..., its kinda a feel thing now.
Basically as a rule, nip it up finger tight, then tighten till its tightish, then a quater turn tight, that should be enuff.

YES, u can snap a bolt in 1/4 ofa turn and Strip a thread in 1/8th of a turn, so be carefull.
FYI, whenu do a job like shocks, 'try' lay it all out in such a way, that in reverse it assembles the right part after the next. (ifu hav the space...lol)

Oh yeah, over here in Oz, we have Council rubbish collection 2times a year for those things that clutter (household goods).
I now have x2 torque wrenches, both found on seperate 'Nature-strip' rubbish pick ups...WIN 4the Recyclers...

A quick goog's search, i found $20-50 the avg. for a decent set (incl. case).
