Problem with Audio Technica mic with Drift HD 1080

So I have had this setup for almost half a year now, and now it's throwing a fit.
I have a lot of recordings on here and there is a crackling noise throughout some, getting worse with others.

I thought it might be the battery in the mic, so I replaced it. Not much improvement, I'm assuming none. Did several tests and whenever I move the mic to simulate bumps and such, the mic cracks to the point of not even hearing any more voice at all and it goes silent.

It seems like this is a problem with the camera.
But I love Drift so much, I really don't want to have to say in 6 months the camera stopped working.
The set up was never crashed and was babied around.

I think the mic isn't making good contact with the jack in the camera. Is there a way to fix this?? Pop in there and bend it back the way it should be? Ideas?????

Is the camera under warranty still? It should be after six months.

Have you tried a different mic, to be sure that it's definitely the camera that's at fault?

I checked the mic through my computer and it was fine.
It works fine and if the mic bounces around any bit inside the camera and the cracking and such goes off.

Drift said it's covered under warranty and to return to where I bought it.
However I found out it came from eBay, granted it was NIB. So I'm awaiting replys from them both.
