PMSL Ducati Vlogger hits cyclist!

That copper was an idiot. The biker was also an idiot,it looks like he did that on purpose

Cyclists shouldn't be using phone either

Yeh someone on the youtube video said it was done on purpose, and also that alex mitchel aka ducati dragon has done it before

Yeh hes doing his best to get away with it, theirs proof of him doing this before, with stuff hes said, and the police have been informed along with the video

There's a lot of perspectives on the Ducati site, some interesting, some extreme. Bottom line is both parties were in the wrong one way or another, as well as the copper.

The motorcycle would have gotten a ticket here. Of course, we can't lane-split here, either... only ride two abreast ~_~ .....

It might not be illegal to cycle and use a phone, but it is damaging to your defence as well as being a pretty dumb thing to do. I'd rather not be involved in an accident at all, being not in the wrong (legally anyway) is little comfort when you're in an emergency room.

But how in anyway did the cyclist contribute to what happened? He was in a cycle lane, going straight and was hit from behind. I'm not sure how there can be any fault placed on the cyclist.

I'm amazed at just how viral the clip has gone now though.

Though from what I read it seemed Ducati Dragon was boasting about adjusting his mirror with the elbow of the cyclist, on a Ducati forum.

It's not a cycle lane, it's a painted divider, so not a lane at all, but not illegal to use.

I'm not saying what the cyclist did it didn't do, but being on a phone harms defence as you can't be using a hand held device and be in full control of your bike, plus you can't be fully concentrating on the road if you're looking at your phone.
