Just wondering yalls opinion on this chin mount placement on the Bell Rogue. Or do you think it will look better on the side.

Chin mount looks neater, gives a good FoV. I'd be worried if you get hit in your face though, because the face mask is soft skinned and there is no foam inner shell or hard outer shell. So that's basically an automatic rock in your face if you fall that direction.

Over the top looks stupid, and because its a GoPro, you'll look extra stupid, but it's safer. Still has good FoV.

Bell Rogue doesn't really have any space to mount on the side though. Might want to just buy a Drift Ghost-S/Sony Action Cam for that flat profile for the over the top placement, or another FF to put your chin mounted GoPro, whichever is a cheaper option.

Looks good to me. On that helmet I wouldn't go any other route unless it was a top mounted drift.

While its not pretty, its going to give you the best camera views which it really is all about. I keep mine chin mounted as well.

If you ever run a chin mount and then go back to a side mount you really begin to hate the side mount position. I use my chin mount 90% of the time but the drift is a backup and the results are never as good in my opinion.

Yeah, the chin view is by far the best. Side view is preferable compared to the teletubby floating above the head view though.

I tried mounting lower on the chin but because I'm on a cruiser style bike it can't see over the gas tank and bars

It looks like it hinders a bit of your visibility.. Sorry for what may be a really stupid question, but have you considered getting a helmet that's a bit more conducive to taking a mount? The Shark Vancore is a pretty badass looking helmet that wouldn't look out of place on your ride. And it takes a mount better than the Rogue too.

I use over the top i'll have you know ;)
And yes, I look like a right idiot, I look like one of the Teletubbies :( Unfortunately my helmet isn't good for other mount placements, I used to do it on one side but it blocked the overall view.

That front face cover/mask, is it sturdy? I know it's not as sturdy as a full face chin bar. So my guess is it would wobble/shake. My suggestion is to wear sun glasses (or those sport/tactical type ones and enclose around your eyes) instead of the MX goggles, and mount the camera on the front dome (not on the top) of the helmet. Get the blackout casing to make it look less obvious plus blend with your helmet.

A mate had a smidsy - he went into, then over the car. The doctors reckon the flip because of the chin mount snapped actually saved his life because if the lid had hit the car, he would have stopped in the car, snapped his neck

Chin looks the best on the helmet, however I think it looks low, I used to have it on the side then switched to the top which looks ridiculous but IMO gives the best view due to the height of the camera, you can see a bit more around you, at the end of the day it's your preference if you want to look like a teletubby stick it on the top, otherwise chin is neat & looks good on your helmet.

Ah the teletubby view. I'm really not a fan of that as it makes you feel like you're floating above the rider and it's not as involving.
