Oh No! A Dislike On My Vids.

Because I already know how YouTube works, and it feels like it's being shoved down my throat too much in videos these days.

It's the big embedded images that ask me to do those things during the video that bug me, at least if it's at the end of the video I can skip the spam.
 
Oh i see. that makes sense. I just started adding a subscribe button to mine but at the last 15 secs. I realize most people wont even watch the whole thing so most people wont see it. Oh well
 
If you have a channel watermark, I think that's automatically a subscribe button to anyone who isn't. I have the please like etc, but only at the end, and they're not annotated.

It is indeed, hence no need to spam me with it!

Having an end card as you do is fine for me as I can easily skip it.
 
Vids since November/December pretty much all have it. The latest definitely do. Mortimer Rd is a belting little run.
 
I got my first dislike today on my newest video. The most ever viewers and likes on any of my videos, too, lol. I feel accomplished!
 
The dislike button is good, especially when the video is not correct per title and/or description. It gives you a heads up when a video as a very high number of dislikes that the video may not be what it claims to be.

Yes people will abuse the button and dislike just for fun, but a**holes like those aren't that much to really make a video have an extremely high number of dislikes, unless like I mentioned earlier, the video itself has issues. That's life, same thing happens in the real world. I can't believe I'm quoting Taylor Swift - "Shake it off". :)

Yes, there are people who like to dislike vids ( sometimes for no reason). Don't sweat it.

This is true, Have seen alot like this now but are usually easy to spot because of the title ect
 
A lot of the time its just kids.... kids don't go out anymore and play "Knock out ginger" on peoples doors, so the surf youtube and do random dislikes instead.
Sad .... but true
 
I too got my first dislike on one of my vids this week. I dont mind if i get them at all. In fact i really hope the person who disliked it is the person i made the vid for.
Think of them as a badge of honor
 
No matter what, you're always gonna get dislikes. Especially the more known you get. There are a certain kind of YouTube viewers who are just jealous and out to get people who are getting known and have quality content. Don't sweat it man!
 
When I don't like a video I just stop watching it. People that feel they must register their disapproval for whatever reason, I don't really get that.

I prompt for like/comment/subscribe at the end of some vids so I can put a musical outro otherwise the video just ends weirdly (because I feel weird saying "hello youtube/goodbye youtube". So Swiss probably feels insulted by that, but eh. I have no problem with videos that do that.

I have someone that pretty much dislikes all my videos immediately. At least one, sometimes two. More if I talk about a divisive topic, and people simply disagree with my viewpoint not matter how the video turned out. Some people just decide "I hate that channel" and they will follow you JUST to dislike your vids. When someone can back it up with a constructive comment, then I'll start paying attention, but that rarely happens.
