Oem Decals

Putting the Nasty in DyNasty
Maybe not so much maintenance, but does anyone have advice on removing oem decals from fairings?

After you rip off the decal, reuse it by pressing the sticky side onto whatever residue is on the fairing and lift, it will pick up the residue easily. Just repeat the process until you have lifted it all off. No fuss no mess.

Prepsol is the best to clean up with(and also to prepare paintwork before putting on a decal too). Only cheap and a tin will last a lifetime. Eucalyptus oil will leave a greasy layer on thr paint for a while.

Which method did you use?

I used a heat gun and slowly heated up one edge being careful not to burn the decal or the bike. Started peeling that corner away and heated the decal up as I pulled it off. Came off like butter then just went over the areas with some goof off for automotive paint and cleaned up like a charm with no residue. The whole bike took me about 30 minutes to get everything off. Much easier then expected!

I used Goof Off to get rid of the glue residue.

As for the initial decal removal? A pressure washer.
