Excuse the lack of pro-ness but here's a question:

I keep seeing people say Drift HD, Drift 170, Drift HD170, Drift Stealth, Drift HD Stealth, Drift Stealth HD170, Drift Stealth 170. Dafuq? I go on the Drift Innovation site and they have two models. Seriously, wtf is what and shit? Why can't they just use the right name for something instead of naming something 80billion different things? It's confusing as fack! And if they have so many different models, why do they only sell Drift HD and Drift HD720?

the HD 170 Stealth (HD Stealth, Stealth 170, Stealth HD170 etc etc) is the older model the HD 170 (non stealth) is the bright orange one before they brought out the stealth (exact same camera, just black instead of orange) BUT neither of these cameras are sold anymore

the Drift HD is the newer one (different mic (3.5mm Jack instead of Drift's own AV port) and different back door) main difference is it's much smaller than the two previous ones.

the Drift HD720 is the newest one, same Drift just minus the Full HD 1080p, it films in HD 720 (which is plenty enough as that's what I use) and is much cheaper than the full 1080 one.

hope this helps, and don't worry about "the lack of pro-ness" :P we all start out sometime

It's really odd that they quit making the HD170 because it seems to be the one model that worked properly.

Don't forget that the HD 720 has NO external mic port. So it's useless for Vlogging with commentary. Could use it as a cheaper way to get road/self shots instead of forking out another wad of cash for the Drift HD (1080) as long as you don't mind filming in 720p at 30fps with a 130 degree field of view.
