New Rig

So I have an Alienware M17x R4, needs a new charger, battery and GPU. So I have elected to replace the GPU at a later date and keep it plugged in and basically use it as a desktop. It has an i7, 12gb of Ram 7970m graphics card and 1tb storage.

So I have decided to give you guys and girls a sneak speak. On my channel i'll be just doing a surprize video and on my twitter and instagram but I have ordered a new Alienware 17 with a 6th Gen i7, 8gb of ram, 4K display, GTX 980M GPU. I am very excited to get my new machine and start making videos again and getting some higher quality stuff on the go.

only thing as a negative I would say is that I hate that there are no more CD drives in Alienware 17's and I like the look of my Alienware M17x R4 better than the Alienware 17. But we'll see when it gets here.

Very Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

So keep an eye on my channel for lots more videos coming soon :)

I can't honestly tell you the last computer I had with a media drive, I do still keep a usb one around though...

If you're upgrading hardware no reason to not shoot 4k!

Yeah I'm excited for it to get here, and I still get to keep my old one.

I think I hate not having a cd drive because I have a ton of dvds I li to watch. And I still love burning cds

Sounds like a sweet rig. I just specced a mid range rig for a friend and it's given me the itch to build another. I'm really interested in finally making the move to nVidia to take advantage of CUDA processing in Premiere. I think it would be a huge help.

yeah if I was building a desktop i'd go custom but laptops I wouldn't buy anything but Alienware. they are just so good plus aren't that expensive compared to other gaming laptops
