New 'promoted Videos' Section -

The goal of this website is to help everyone interact with each other. However, it's always been a fine line of posting a video that's interesting and spamming the forum.

Let's face it, most vlogs are kinda rubbish. This is why I came up with the 5 posts a week rule. If you don't know what that is, have a read here https://motovlog.com/threads/cant-post-a-video-read-and-then-you-can-post.8241/. I don't mind that the video section isn't as busy as it used to be, the forum ticks over nice and those who get involved, get a tad more exposure..

What I am testing out for a couple of months is something called 'Promoted Videos'.

If me or @Lurch spot a video that's well worth a watch, we will move it to the 'Promoted Videos' section.

Some pointers about this:

• This applies to videos that have been placed in the 'post your video section' only - Nowhere else on the forum
• You ARE allowed to PM/Tag us if you feel that a video is worth the promotion.
• If we spot a video that's got a lot of interaction then we will most likely move it over
• Unlike the normal 'post your video' section. Promoted Videos WILL show within the 'New Posts' tag (more exposure)
• Just because you TAG/PM us, doesn't mean you will be promoted.
• We will aim to have no more than one promoted video a day but no less than three a week
• We will share the video on our Facebook/Social channels

A nice idea, could we have a voting system on videos rather than the mods deciding what gets promoted to make it a little fairer?

This would be a similar tweak you made to the random top poster award which made that feature function really well.
