Hi everyone!

I'm a brand new vlogger and new member on this site. Some of you may have seen me participating already. Got my sig and avatar setup and I'm glad to be part of a site dedicated to MotoVlogging.

About me, I'm 44, a veteran of the video-game business and a lifelong artist just getting into some video-editing (for reasons you can guess). I've been riding since I was 15 and started on various scooters, smaller motorcycles and now, my 2009 GSX-R 750. Before the 750, I had both an R1 and a Gixxer 600, so this for me is the 'Goldilocks Zone'.

I never really put videos on YouTube till other MotoVloggers inspired me to try my hand at my own vlog. I wish I had started earlier, but I didn't! Anyway, there is lots of inspiration out there, and I'm trying to bring the best quality and good content. I should mention, I found out about this site from AridersLife, an excellent vlogger I'm subscribed-to on YouTube.

My philosophy on vlogging? I've read some of Dos and Don'ts of MotoVlogging and I know how important audio quality is. I'll keep working on mine till it's great, and right now I think it's pretty good but could be better. I don't like to limit my vlogs to tiny, bite-sized videos because some rides are just longer than others. With editing, I tend to cut out the really boring stuff but leave it mostly intact for those who like a longer ride, for any reason. Some people can't ride and love to 'settle-in' with a longer video that's no longer than a couple sitcoms. Some are scouting the great roads I ride. Others can always jump-around if they like.

Topics? I may or may not pick a topic, but I like to improv it, or go 'stream of consciousness' sometimes, where I just talk about what comes to mind and respond to what's around me. A bumper sticker, for instance, may trigger a topic. Otherwise, I generally have an idea in mind but like to keep it loose.

Other interesting tidbits: My suit is a NASA-themed EVA suit I designed based around the real EVA suits, and made-custom by Z-Custom Leathers. I have a whole space theme coming-along on the bike and I'll be cutting my own decals for that too. Hopefully, the topics I choose will be interesting to many as well.

I invite anyone to check out my channel and feedback is always welcome. I am, after all, new to this but improving quickly I think. I've also gone through a bunch of mic setups and explain on my channel where I ended-up.

I use GoPro HD Hero 2, and my mic setup is pretty ingenious I think (and I've tried some expensive solutions I didn't stick with).

Take care, and thanks! Good to be here. :D

Spacep0d (same name on YouTube). Channel linked in my sig.

Thanks!

I'll check your vlogs too as I get to know people. Mike, you've got some interesting stuff. Love the one with you coming off the Chunnel train (if that's right). Interesting. If anyone wants to trade subs I'm game for that too so it's all balanced. We're (mostly) all MotoVloggers here, right? ;)

Devil, didn't see any vids on your channel but I'll check back later.

I'm also very curious about people's audio set-ups but I'll be checking out the forum for that info too.

Another SoCal video game vet? AWESOME!

I'm a Jr. Level Designer at Spark Unlimited working on LP3. I live in Sherman Oaks, but so far I do all of my riding in Laguna Niguel, where my bike is kept. I had already subscribed to you after seeing two or three of your videos about a week ago or so, but stumbling onto this post I'm even more happy. What games did you work on Spacep0d?
