Need Some Help With Adobe Premiere Pro

I recently updated PP (wonder if this is the issue) and I was trying to edit a new vlog yesterday and I'm running into a strange issue. Previously I was able to import Intros and Outros I'd previously edited and drop them onto the sequence and then add my recorded video to the sequence and edit things out. I have NO problem importing the clips into the project window. Where things get interesting is when I try to put them in the sequence. If I start editing by placing the previously setup intro then I can't add the newly recorded footage. If I start by placing the recorded footage in the sequence, I can't add the previously setup intro.

Either way I can import all the footage (new and intro) into the project window and I can view and play any of them in the source window but when I go to drop them in the sequence window is when I start having an issue.

Any ideas?

I think my issue is just the order in which I was trying to add things to the sequence. I've been able to get all the footage in there I want. I obviously need to read a book...

The way I start is to put in my best quality video first to the time line, (my intro is 1080 @ 30fps while my cam is 1080 @ 60fps) which is the cam footage, then I add the rest to the timeline after the sequence has been auto created by APP.
Never had the problem you described ;)

My issue was occurring when I added an audio track before adding the recorded video. I don't recall running into that before but who knows. Either way I guess I'll look into what the prescribed method is for placing items in a timeline. I just kind of hit the ground running when I started using the product.

yeah as thunderous mentioned. if u place a vid on the sequence first. it ll ask if u want to change settings (e.g.) 1080p 30 fps.

but if ur standart setting is something else and u add music first then it won t change over when u add video later.

thats why thunderous says he adds the 60 fps clips before the 30fps ones so his sequence is 60

i don t understand tho why it wouldn t let u add tho. that the size(resolution) is messed up would make sense. but why wouldn t it let u add things xD
