Day 2: A little harbour north of Inverness called Helmsdale, stopped here for a water break then headed off for John O'Groats

Further into day 2 it's time to tackle some singletrack.

My destination for the evening being Lochinver, a lovely B&B was sought on booking.com.

Day 3: Starting right off with some more stunning singletrack (video to come hopefully) in the rain (it's Scotland afterall) I decided to cut the route short and get the ferry from Armadale - Mallaig.. Saved me a load of time + miles then the sun came out

Lovely little fuel stop after serious miles of singletrack. Cap hissed when I opened it, close!

Onward to the Lochaline - Fishnish ferry onto Isle of Mull. What's the story in Ballymory?

Grand photos pal, shame you got rained on a bit but as you say it is Scotland. Taking the ferry, so did you miss some of the official NC500 mileage then.

I live in Inverness and have only done sections of the route. The plan is to do the whole lot next year.
