Cheers, I'm currently sat in hospital, about to have surgery on my hand

However I've been told it might be only a month before I can ride again. Instead of the three months I was first told

Sorry about your hand and bike, atleast you are ok in every other aspect though.

I can't tell from the video, how did you hurt your hand? try to brace yourself on the landing?

I wasnt braced properly, as you said, and the handlebars were forced backwards into my hand, which broke my thumb. I'm told its a pretty common injury for motorcyclists.

And don't worry about the bike. It wasnt mine! I'm told that the damage was minimal as well. A bent handguard, and a few scratches. Those AJP's stood up really well!
