Hey Y'all!

Just thought i'd share my setup...or rather setup that's coming ;)

ordered this external mic the other day...just waiting for it to arrive:

Have others used this mic? Did i purchase the correct one?

The problem with TOP tier mic's is they are too sensitive and regardless of were you place them its alot harder to remove the wind noise.

Well he could wrap it in a sock ;) Though that might be tight fit in the helmet and smelly.

Personaly I found it does depend on the unit you are recording with also, the controls you have to boost (bad) or level the sound as it comes in. What you don't want to be doing is post processing... that gets tiresome from experience.

My mic is one that a lot seem to use a simple condenser mic (Audio Technica ATR 3350), although its battery powered the bat will last for over a month when used for 3hrs a day.
