yes the passing bike did stop, nice lady from the local motorbike club and she stayed with me until my dad arrived to lend a hand with the bike. Yeah I'm happy the leathers did their job I don't have a mark on me so they've clearly worked well. Got a few sets anyway so not stressed about that, just hide them somewhere to show the grandkids.
thats cool to hear. All ways good to hear leathers fully protecting the body just reinforces how handy they are. is the bike still rideable with its battle scars or do you have to wait till its purring again?
Still rideable, only actual damage affecting the handling or operation is the snapped off rear brake lever and theres one in the post now. Will pick up some exhaust bits over the week and see if I can't get the fairing sanded down and resprayed. Shouldn't be too long till shes back to being beautiful But in the mean time I'll still be riding it. The rear brake functions as the lever is bent theres enough there to put your foot down on if you really needed too and the rest of it is still running and riding fine.
Helmet never touched the floor which is good, doesn't have a single mark on it because I stayed quite upright on the bike. While the whole experience wasn't particularly enjoyable its done a fantastic job of launching my new channel. Got 310 views on that video in something like 10 hours and a few extra subscribers. So not all bad!
Might have broken a rib. going to A&E tomorrow but I'm in agony today. Did 12 hours at work and the last 4 of it has been killer. Rode my bike to A&E saw 3 hour waiting time, said fuck that and rode home still in agony now just chilling out watching some vlogs. But yeah hurts to breath or move or rotate. Just generally shafted. Ah well, was so close to getting off that one without an injury! Damn.
I'm not supposed to be riding for a week or so, but just did 15 miles down the B645 and felt fine, lovely twisty road too. Left my bike at the other end with my mechanic friend and should be picking it up sometime next week with all the paint repaired. Spent £160 this morning on a new exhaust, bar ends, front brake lever and rear brake which are all in the post now so will have her back to new and shiny very soon
Its the same as the old one haha and yeah I love the B645, when I've got the bike back you'll have to come for a thrash down there. The whole length Higham Ferrers - St Neots is great or if you turn left up towards peterborough/Catworth on the top end of the B660 thats a fantastic piece of road as well.
haha tell him to get on it!, and yeah Grafham is lovely and can get some food in the cafe there. I don't think I've trade B663 Wheres that through? and I live on the B660 Cracking road if you like tight bends!
