Hi!
I've just purchased a Muvi micro camera for the sole purpose of slotting it either somewhere on my bike, or somewhere in my helmet. The thing is not waterproof by default, so I also got a waterproofing case for it in case it goes on the bike.
Does anyone have any personal experience with one of those things? If so, where did you slot it?
Ideally, I'd like to slot it on the bike, for practicality's sake (also because I can easily record using my Scala headset straight on to my phone rather than to have to actually talk into the camera). It'd also allow me to find a spot where there isn't that much wind noise (faired bikes <3). However, not quite sure...
The other option is to slot it on the helmet. I had a mess around with a friend's ContourHD camera this week-end, and it was slotted right on top of the helmet. The audio quality was terribad anywhere above 40mph (due to wind noise. My bike isn't noisy at all). So that's not an option. Gotta find a better mounting point - and I've noticed a couple of vloggers having them either:
a) on the side of their helmet, near the chinguard (roughly where a Scala bluetooth headset goes)
b) in the helmet
Very curious as to option b. How do you fit it so it doesn't obscure your field of view too much (bearing in mind that eyes have a focal length of 10cm, still makes a pretty nasty black spot)?
Thanks,
Seb
