Hey people,

I'm trying to edit my friend's Drift HD footage in Cyberlink Powerdirector 9. When I drag the file to be edited in the window it comes up with an "this media type is not supported, unsupported format or some other reason" error message. I've dragged other .MOV files over from other cameras without a problem and the files play on the computer. The only way I can get it to work is using a very long conversion process then dragging it over as another file type.

Has anyone had similar problems and how did you cure it?

Cheers.

It plays with Quicktime and Windows media player. It's opening in Powerdirector 9 for editing I have the problem with. I've also access to the Drift innovation (the large one) with the normal SD card, that uploads fine but the micro SD of the stealth doesn't. Weird

I've been having issue with PD10 uploading to YT. Most times I have to retry a couple times and on rare occasion it renders and uploads fine. This has been going on for over a month now. Went on Cyberlink's forums and found little help there. I've started to render in mpeg4 and then upload like that but what a pita!
Not sure if it's related but thought I'd throw that out there. Don't hear much about PD in this forum.

My problem was with Sony Vegas, the .mov codec provided by the newest version of quicktime was somehow incompatible with the editor so even though the file would play in quicktime, it wouldn't open in Vegas. If you end up totally stuck, it's worth rolling back to an older version just to rule it out.

I've uninstalled and re installed. Quicktime, no luck. Can't believe the old drift works but not the new. Have Sony vegas 11,it works on that but it's a bitch to use compared to powerdirector so still no cigar yet
