Hi, I just now found out about this forum, and seeing as how I'm a forum addict, that surprises me. BUT ANYWAY, hello!
- I go by "MotoRick" because I'm a bike whore and a generic bike name is better than "SVRick" or such, because I'm already about to sell my SV and get an FZ8 and there's no point in calling myself FZ8Rick either.
- I don't mind saying where I am as anybody desperate enough to stalk me, must be.........desperate. So, I live in the greater Suwanee metroplex, Georgia. (I'm mocking Suwanee's size)
- I am a bean-counter. That means I push a pen around and drive a desk all day. Besides motovlogging, I'm also interested in a multitude of things. Finding a hobby after retirement will not be a problem for me. For example, my latest interests are pocket knives, shooting sports and equipment, MotoGP, Football/Soccer, the sciences, etc. I am a recovering World of Warcraft addict, taking it one day at a time.
- My current bike is a 2004 Suzuki SV650. I like it a lot, but I've got the fever for a new FZ8.
- I started motovlogging because I thought that since I already talk to myself while I ride, it would be a little less schitzo if I did it for others instead of just myself.
- I currently use a Drift Stealth HD170 with an external mic for my main camera. I wear it on top of my helmet so that when I'm walking around, no one realizes that I'm a midget. My first camera was a ContourHD and imagine my displeasure when I found out it had no provision for hooking up an external mic. After buying the Drift I have been informed by many Motovlogging friends that I made a huge mistake and should have bought a Hero2. <Sigh> Someday I probably will get the Hero2.
- I have an active YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMotorick
Thanks!
