Those are really cool photos. The two that t I like best is the cemetery. Very stark. Then the other is the guy in the checkered print shirt. He looks like he is very determined.

I think the choice of black and white as well as some of the soft focus gives more of an impact than if you went with full color. However, the one with snow might be more beautiful in full color. Contrasting the color of life with the cold snow.

Your mirrors are pretty interesting. What kind of bike do you ride?

hello :)
it's just some random bike , knock-off copy of the kawasaki eliminator but with 200cc indian bajaj ; I need those freaky huge mirrors to stay alive in this region .
BTW REALLY thanks for the feedback , even I'm doing this for ~7 years , m.vlog community is not that .... anyway the photos are clearly "stills" , the camera is a homemade action camera , hidden inside the helmet ( outdoor photography is "strongly" illegal here ) ... just months ago got arrested and the camera died by some nice secret police officer ! these are tribute to its 5mp soul ; still life ...

Middle east hates bikes , .... any noisy activities , distracting fast movements , anything ... that moves the dust ! middle east hates middle east

Interesting that the cost to park is so high and "the middle east hates the middle east". Do you mean there is a dislike of the conditions such as weather, or economics, or is it more complicated like socioeconomic issues or even a true self loathing on some level?

I was showing someone the photos and the commented it is as if they are taken on the sly, as if the subjects are not aware of it. Pretty cool photos either way!

I cannot fathom being where a person is not allowed to photograph openly. I do relate to political/religious discord though. I have been a become a bit of an outsider for speaking against the "popular" opinion in some circles but I would not feel right to stand silently by while others are looked down upon here.

Your country has such a rich history that even I am learning more. Your photo of the cemetery for example reminded me of that as well as the photo of the old Jewish neighborhood.

Your photos do show hope though. It may be of just necessity but the motorbikes seem to be everywhere. Here, motorcycling is synonymous with personal freedom to go where you want. Is that the same in your culture even though you may not be able to go everywhere you want?

Sorry to get so philosophical.

I'm happy about engaging around these subjects but I'm sure the admin won't like the hard shoulders filtering ! so let's make it bike related thingy conversation , excuse my rudeness ;)

Is that the same in your culture

I'm the first m.logger in ME .. now it's almost 2018 , with all the smuggled gopro's and bypassing the gov internet-restrictions STILL I'm the only m.logger in this country , this says enough about me and my personality .

Asia (west, east, central, south ...) has hosted the most bike&bikers , the bikers most likely to have weird chinese action cams comparing to the rest of the world (mostly because of the insurance frauds , ...) but been a biker in asia has nothing to do with sense of "freedom" . asians love restrictions , orders , tradition , sustainabile customs , religions ... regardless of how nonsense they could be ! they love unity of their nation , anything from national dishes , the language , ... to the motorbikes .

similarity makes the human minds at the ease ! we love to feel certain about our lives choices , and complications are disturbing so than the speed limits are similar for all vehicles and motorists regardless of their skills , ... Asian-nations love to see their neighbors doing something similar to their own lifestyles . same stupid cheap motorcycle means less worries about repairing costs , finding spare parts ... and lots of details on social interactions ! as much as the sense of unity and conservatism pushes bloods inside the people's engines , they mostly like to ride cheaper , low powered , safe choose bikers . and Only until they could have saved enough to buy a Car . because in Asia Motorcycles are for the "losers" .

Iяаиiаи state media have been shamelessly insulted motorcyclists since the revolution . in popular children program the wise character says to the biker : It's good to see you bikers at the hospitals so you won't be able to bother the people for at least awhile !

173209358_PhotoL.jpg 14.jpg 13900724180347_PhotoL.jpg .... BahramAzimi1.jpg

there's a single pump at every gas station in "my" country , all bike have to get in this ridiculously literally segregated queue to fill the tanks , even if there's no car and station is empty , yet bikers only get that stupid nozzle

154457937.jpg

bikes aren't allowed on expressways , all tunnels , overpass , any roads out of the towns , inside the bazzar territories , national parks , parking next to the curb , most public recreation spots , ... , routinely I get bullied for taking the fast lane , next to curb parking spots , filling the tanks at patrol station , ... everyone has any rights to move my bike , by dragging it or even dropping if They feel it's stands on their way or in front of their tiny stores !

100_0137.MOV_20150622_124622.352.jpg

bikes don't have insurance coverage , and 3th party insurance are more expensive then the bikes values but for even supercars with full coverage only costs twice as much

there're many other restrictions and laws to follow , things like : anything over 249cc is off limit , ... cops can even shoot in case of the possible chases , ... So making it short :

personal freedom to go where you want

freedom has nothing to do with motorcycles in Middle east , it's just a cheap bicycle with a tiny engine on it as the chief of the traffic department said

13910306185004623_PhotoL.jpg 13900809144023593_PhotoL.jpg 13960113000636636267645022003977_55373_PhotoT.jpg

Wow! Funny about the views of motorcycling since Harley-Davidson embraces putting engine is essentially a bicycle frame. I believe even the Wright Brothers have a connection to bicycling.

Well, I wish things will be better for you and your fellow riders someday. In the meantime, thank you for your views into you part of the world.

It sounds like bikers are 3rd class, that is crazy and unfair. I honestly couldn't imagine living in a place where my life choices were so restricted. I feel very lucky to not be in that situation.
hi :)
restrictions are fine in general ! If one born blind and no one ever tell him stories about colors and sight ... it's may better watching him always asking himself "why me ?" . here bikers are lawless , "savages" , they can't ride half civilized , they have too much unleashed desire , adrenaline , dopamine , ... that they knew themselves well that they won't compromise with the law , ....
they don't wear helmet ( even cop bikers ) , won't wait behind the R.light , cover their license plate , never pay tax , don't get MOT certificate , ...
Iяаиiаи bikers always make fun of me in hot 40.c When I'm waiting for green light under freaky hot summer sun where UV passes 11 ... just 50m cops stopping them for not wearing helmets ; Karma-o-akbar !

IMAGE634603411776505000.jpg

No license/helmet = confiscation
but bikes are cheaper than the fines ! so cops selling the seized bikes out , while bikers looking for cheap used bikes , maybe the very same bikes the cops have on yard-sell to make room for the next bike-seizing , ... now even the man inside the traffic lights laughing

You would be surprised at how common the "Bikers are 3rd class citizens" mentality is in the world. My country is testament to how enduring that mentality is.

Bikes used to be extremely cheap poor man's transportation, but with the rising costs of motorcycles in Singapore due to government interference the ratio of cheapass clunkers versus high end exotic machines has been shifting to expensive bikes in the last few years with owners coming from high paying backgrounds like lawyers and other professionals.

Yet Singaporean businesses and people treat bikers as poor, unruly ruffians by restricting them from entry in many carparks and properties around the country. There is even one entire island where motorcycles are prohibited from entering (with the exception of delivery vehicles and resident's bikes), while cars have full access. It's ridiculous.

us Brits do like to moan and whinge, when in reality we are very lucky to have the freedoms we have.

Not to mention the prices you pay to own motorcycles. Jesus christ, walking away with a big ass tourer like an Africa Twin for 4000 pounds? Get outta here! You couldn't even find any used bike larger than 200cc in Singapore for less than 5000 pounds unless it's an old machine slated for the scrap yard in a few months time after the registration ends.

The funniest price whining are from the Americans on /r/motorcycles who would complain about a used Grom costing more then 1000 pounds on craigslist. Are. You. Guys. Serious? My heart would skip a beat at that price as I make a mad dash for the ATM and buy that shit. Paid in full. In cash.

Ummm, the Africa Twin is £10,500.00 - £11,300.00 not £4k! (roughly 19790.66 Singapore Dollars)
