I use this one, am sure you'll be able to get similar in the USA. Doesn't peak on voice or my open pipes on the Guzzi. No idea if it will work with your camera, but works fine on my GoPro Hero Five

Update::
I have figured out the mic issues. Tried every imaginable solution and ended up back where I started. I finally saw a video where a guy was just using some old headphones with a mic on them. Tried it and no luck. What I did notice is they the ear buds themselves picked up my voice. So I quickly got them installed in my helmet and went out for a ride. They work perfectly. Voice audio is clear and the bike isn't too loud. I have one video up for now. Weather hasn't really permitted riding, but more to come. I just wanted to thank you all for your advice. It was greatly appreciated.

Yes that is correct. I wouldn't have thought that was the case till I tested it.
