Lightmode

I know you can buy the glow in the dark helmets such as the shark one I dont see how this'd be any different. Also, a lot of cyclists out lights on there helmets flashing away all type of colours. How come they ain't stopped?

I guess I'm in the minority here but I'm not really diggin the Tron look.

A solar panel covered helmet would be an amazing concept for powering everything. Perhaps in a few years time...
I was actually talking to a friend about this the other day. Ride and charge your camera at the same time, wouldn't have to worry about battery life anymore.

Walterrific has a solar panel on the top of his helmet. I'm not sure if it is functional or just for looks. He has a lot of stuff on his helmet.

Let's make this happen. The revolutionary new photvoltaic shell helmet.

Better watch out for any electromagnetic waves though, could be dangerous having them so close to your brain haha

I think it looks pretty interesting. But I doubt I would be riding much in the dark when the time comes. I might though. And I do like the tron look a lot.

Just make the whole shell up with solar panels. Partner that up with a solar panel jacket and your a walking, talking battery lol

It's fine we'll just need to add some sort of protective layer into the helmet and into the riders gear. We can even make solar panel leathers. We own this. ;)

Trying to make yourself more visible while on the road is illegal? Sometimes you have to take a moment and facepalm yourself when you see such rules. For the product, I find it more of a gimmick, to look cool, yes you will be more visible (no argument on that). I'd rather stick with reflective 3M tape which you could still cut to any shape/design you want. There's reflective black so for those that have black lids and in the daytime want to look all plain and simple, while at night under light show the "hidden" design/decals, can try that. Having wires and battery packs is just too much for me, you want your helmet light and simple, not bogged down with too much stuff.

I have one and it's great. The only annoyance is how big the power brick is, I just "velcroed?" it to my helmet so I can take it off when I'm not using it, which is most of the time.
