Left or right?

My question is what is the factor that causes people to pick between left or right when mounting the camera? Asking this as since my helmet wouldn't support a drift on the top. (Got to check out a friend's. I'm still camcorder-less. T_T)

Most people have on the side that the middle of the road is on. So we brits have it on the right, whereas Johnny Foreigner has it on the left. It gives a better view of the road ahead :)

A lot of people also have bluetooth devices attached to their helmets which I believe are always on the left, so to balance out weight and keep from cluttering one side they'll mount their camera on the right.

On the right side, easier to work with because i'm right handed

Never thought about it in that way, although allot of vloggers outside the uk also have it on the right side.
More scenery that is visible

I have a Cardo bluetooth headset on the left so I put my camera on the right. I also mount it in a way that the helmet doesn't take up half the frame so you can see both sides of the road pretty well.

I have mine on the right, but the problem is that your right hand is your throttle hand, so you can only really do anything when at a standstill.

That's why I have my remote on my right forearm, and use the left hand to turn recording on and off. Wish the Drift Stealth had an option to record in 3 minute segments, rather than just one massive file.

Wow didn't actually think about that I just put it in the side the drift label was the right way up

I put it on the right... because... I just did. I didn't think about it at all haha!
I'm right handed. Maybe that was a factor.

Mine's slapped on the top of my lid :P Best of both worlds. A lot more people notice now though, as I did start with it on the right as it's the middle of the road.

Put my Drift Ghost on the right because the wording on the camera would be upside down on the left. Also, if I'm not using the remote I'm only going to switch it on/off while I'm stationary and left hand is on the clutch. With a 170 degree view angle you're not going to miss much whichever side you put it on.

Lol, good a reason as any. As with Kryten, the blutooth unit can only be on the left due to the boom orientation. It was designed that way because you need to operate it with your clutch hand. Therefore my camera went on the right by default.
