General Laying Her Down

If you follow mw on social media (@chriswallace959 on Instagram & Twitter) you'll lnow that I layed the bike down yesterday. As always I ride with a camera and caught the whole thing.

Dang, sorry to hear that. But of course the driver did not come back to the scene.

Did he hell. But no scruffs to trousers, jacket, helmet gloves and only damge was the clutch lever and a scrapped pillion peg I'm happy enough. I have a bike 3 years older than the one I ride for spares so I had a clutch lever. So besides waiting to be picked up it cost about 10 minuites of my time to swap it over. Could have cost more and I didn't hit the parked car so thats my insurance saved for next year

In all honstley I don't think he saw me at all. How I'll never considering I was riding with the headlight on full beam as well as wearing a high vis on too. Like I said no scruffs to trousers, jacket, helmet or gloves so I'm pretty happy. Though I do find it slighty entertaining that I layed it down once I had stopped.

Glad to hear (and see) that you're okay. You have the van's license plate number in your clip. Could you report him to the police with it?

It's pretty clear he came into your lane in a threatening way.

I've circulated the video around and whilst most people have said the same as you. But their is a few that are saying 50/50 blame. I don't think the police would do anything. There is company info on the van. From what I can make out its a local area code. With the power on Facebook I can use the reg to locate the owner but I don't think anything will be done.
