Re: 2up: Pay It Forward

Great to see you helping out. Also as much fun as it was for you, it would be SO ILEGAL over here to do that it's untrue.

Mud Burnout!

If I had been thinking, I would have braced the front tire up against something. Then I could have gotten a nice roost going!

Sportbikes are boring ;-)

"The weather broke, and I finally got to see dodgerider's new KTM in action. Was just a fun, casual Sunday ride. A better chunk of the day was actually spent in the garage, fixing up my new scooter. But we got a bit of riding in, as you can see."

Helmet Camera brings out the best in others... LOL

Ironically, this guy was the only 'crazy thing' I captured on camera.

Do you guys have stuff like this happen to you? It's stuff like this that has convinced me to switch back to in-helmet/incognito style setups. While the obvious camera draws one sort of reaction (see below), the hidden camera produces another. Which do you prefer, and why?

Ok LJ admit it, you had already jumped that curb several times before this incident and he finally caught you in the act.

We all know you're a sidewalk riding, curb hopping, grass trenching, hooligan. That's why we love you!

I bet he thought he looked hard in front of his "mates" though in reality I bet they thought he was a prat. I loathe people like that and find it almost impossible not to bite if I encounter them. For every one of him there has to be a thousand decent people.

Honestly, never. I drive by this road several times a week, but have never been in this parking lot. It's a car wash and I don't have a car. If I had "jumped that curb several times before," then there would have been no hesitation, no u-turn, etc. But, it was a several foot drop off. You have had to hit it at a serious clip to clear it and land semi-safely.

Of course, I'm actually assuming your entire comment was tongue in cheek and for the irony. But, just in case you were serious, there's my explanation ^^.

I still maintain I'm no more than "Hooligan Lite" or "Diet Hooligan."

A sobering reminder: Wear your gear.

It's that time of year when there are a heightened number of crashes. Both riders and drivers are distracted by the nice weather, there is a big increase in the number of motorcycles on the road, and there are many new/rusty riders.

Came upon this scene on the way home from work last night. Was a sobering reminder. Let's all try to dress for the crash and keep it rubberside down this year. Wishing you all the best.

Re: A sobering reminder: Wear your gear.

Haven't got time to watch the vid just now - but can't agree more with the sentiment. You might get away without gear 1000 times, but it only takes one mistake or idiot on the road to ruin your life if you don't have it on.
