Guide Jake TheGardenSnake's New Motovlogging Setup

why do you say the Ghost is better than the GoPro? :)

Because I'm a fanboi why else.

Well as far as mounting on the side of a helmet, plugging in a mic and it working its much easier, and with firmware changes to both gopro and drift cameras they are both as crap as each other.

All go pro needs to do it make the session work with an external mic without the stupid box.

Is that due to safety or ergonomics?
A bit of both I guess.. I don't want to be worrying if the brick is going to fly off my helmet and possible pull whatever else it is attached to along with it; Also have all that extra weight on your head sticking out surely will introduce some sort of wind buffeting, probably headache and fatigue; Having a tropical climate it can rain at any time as it is my setup is somewhat exposed but still works even with splashes of water, but the power bank I'm not so sure.

GoPro had it right with the Hero2, a simple dedicated mic jack which you can directly connect a mic to the Hero without any bull shit USB adapter or worse, some stupid box you have to tape to the side of your helmet.. Ever since Hero2 they have been making simple things more difficult. I wouldn't be surprised if the next few gens devolve to using wireless mics only.. Just like Apple with their iPhone getting rid of the earphone jack.. Ridiculous.
