Is there a best bike for motovlogging?

I agree with what you said. Thumbnail is big. and a catchy thumbnail telling the truth would be king.

This is but one way and reason I stay away from clickbait titles/TNs... I typically use a screen grab from my video for my TN. I really don't like [despise is a strong word, but probably applicable here] clickbait.

I also try to stay away from over-sensationalizing something ... let's call a duck a duck, for quack's sake.

Telling the truth? IDK about that. I've seen some cardboard cutouts sing the tribal songs the tribe likes best and they do well in spite of the parochial nature of their POV. Put the big smile on the thumbnail and it helps, if you have a good smile.

Yes. I stopped watching some folks because of this. Drama queens/kings that try to draw viewers. You'd think after the second or third time they'd figure it out, but no. One of these was getting 650 new subscribers with every video posted and a lot of things are apparent about this YTer that should make one wonder, but people go along with it. The idea of branding factors in at this level, which is, what image do you want your audience/customer to believe about you. It's a fomented perception, usually not reality, so to that extent, branding is promoting a false self, but I think we all know that. We're conned by it every day in politics, religion, sports and consumer stuff, which is a broad range of stuff from this to actors/celebutards to influencers. It's just funny in an odd way how a lot of folks are conned.

Well, given my channel's name, there's no choice but to go with Reality ;)

BUT, very well put! I just enjoy making videos and seeing the reaction/engagement I get from it - I think that's pretty neat.

Thinking about this one again, I really think an electric motorcycle would be a good choice for vlogging since they just so quiet. The voice audio pickup would be crispy especially if you had a large windshield at speed. I would not want it to be my only bike but it would be a good choice for crispy vlog audio. Just saying! : D

You're absolutely right. My only thing with EVs is that they're not interesting. It's crossed the line to appliance/black box. It's where things are going though. Walled gardens and all. I could go off on Apple convergence strategy. Same kind of thing. What we buy and use are items that they don't want us to repair ourselves and want us to replace on a schedule. It suits the manufacturers, but to your point, from a vlogging perspective, it makes sense with audio and video. If someone is brand centric. which a lot of viewers are, it might not draw them. Even a livewire. Maybe someday though when the older people go away. I keep envisioning Demolition Man. The future is going to be a strange place.

John, You are yourself. That's why I watch. I am just waiting for you to unleash more and be uncensored. I understand your concerns with that, we've been there, but when that happens, it will be glorious.

I think when a big brand like Honda starts coming out with electric motorcycles, they will go more main stream. It would also help to get the trip per charge miles up as well with selling electric motorcycles. Maybe someday they will even have drones that can fly out of the bike to do video recordings.

I think range and recharging locations are a big factor with broad acceptance and those things would matter to me, but I'd never buy an EV for anything more than my personal taxi.
 
"Best" is going to depend entirely on what your goal with your channel is.

If all you want is views, don't care where they're from or how little your RPM is, you could argue that a Honda Cub could be best as it's the best selling motorcycle anywhere.

If what you care about is RPM, you could argue that a Harley would be best as previously mentioned in this thread.

If what you care about is growing a community quickly at any cost, be the first motovlogger with a brand new for 2022 vehicle in a popular segment and show people all kinds of things you can do with it.

If you want to show people how you can do a huge variety of things with one bike, best would be a dual-sport/adv/touring bike like the BMW G650GS that you can do anything (except go fast) with.

It's like talking about how to make their bike "faster". There are too many ways to measure faster. Is it acceleration? Is it power to weight ratio? Is it top speed? Unless you specify what your version of faster is, no one tell you how to get there. Likewise, unless you specify what your version of success on youtube is, no one can tell you what the best bike is.
 
The best bike differs by who is watching, some are into motocross, or scooters, but most common would be superbikes, so having a cool one like Panigale or H2R would probably get you more traffic.
 
I do it on a Goldwing. I've seen a lady motovlogging on a moped. I don't think we could be happy making a vlog if we swapped machines.

I'll go with whatever bike you like and own. If you're not motovlogging because you don't think you have the right motocycle, you're missing out on the fun.

Seems that HD channels do better. If a woman rider, more so, but that makes sense considering the demo.

LOL, I experienced this first-hand... and I thought the video was pretty good. My old KZ was acting ornery one day... and she's sat parked since then :D

BUT, your point is 100% valid! Maybe I'll have to figure out how to work on it and do that this Spring on camera :D
