I wonder how Do it with Dan got away with using his sound clip.

With his channel he is actually using edited versions of the music. (the words are cut out) kind of thing. Which you can technically get away with. I just use freesongstouse on youtube. or look up non copyright songs on youtube.

Vocals or not, it's still potential legal trouble if he catches the attention of the copyright holder. Not worth it, IMO. Always get permission to use other people's work or make your own.

If you're going to rip off artists on Soundcloud, at the very least give them some credit in the description or a card to their page.

If youre going to rip a song, try to keep it under 15 secs, thats what I read somewhere in the youtube guidelines
