I am going to do one eventually but seeing as youtube won't let me approve my channel, since my # has been used more than 2 times (yet none of those channels exist anymore) I'm not doing anything flashy like that till then that and I'm still learning editing and mic spots and filters for wind. But a small intro can make the channel more memorable. Even if its just your logo spinning as an intro with some music or spin noise. Just my thoughts.
I have seen a lot of successful motovloggers use a intro as much as not use an intro. So its more about personal flavor. However I think more important than an intro per say is creating a quick 10-20 sec hook to get people to keep watching your video. Some consider that an intro as well.
As mentioned before, I think an intro that's 3 seconds or less, to me, is just nice, it's short enough for people to not need to skip over it, and yet still long enough to flash your tits, err I mean logo or what-not.
Do and Don't. I have a short one and I lob it in my videos any place I dam well like! It may be at the start, it may be at the end, it may be in the middle or it may not even be there!
Depends... Some dudes intros are just too damn long and you have to skip through it.
A title while chatting, that's what I do.
I wouldn't mind some or other flashy title though, but max 5 seconds. My 2c worth...
Any graphics dudes out there wanna help me out?
I use an intro but its mostly just for me and its only like 5 seconds long. I don't like peoples intros when they are basically 30 second long trailers though.
Yeah agree with most of this. Only can tolerate small intros and mines 4 seconds... I hope most people will tolerate that. Just starting out in all this.
