Hey guys been fooling around with AE while I recover just wanted some input. This is what i'm thinking for an intro.

Too much/little? Make sure to HD it.

To me it looks a bit simple, but I think it works well, are you going to put it to some music?

First off, I love it. Simple brand name that you are trying to get people to recognize and remember. Second, I personally HATE intros. They waste my time and do nothing but irritate me. If I wanted to watch an intro, I just wouldn't skip the damn ads. That being said, it is absolutely your channel and you have every right to do whatever you want with your videos.

My recommendation? Start the video as normal, but overlay your icon for a few seconds to get the point across that it is the beginning of the video and, as I stated above, start getting people to recognize your brand name.

I made it short for that reason exactly. Also no audio as ill just start the video audio immediately. Should be good to film in a few weeks and I can see what we got.

i really like it and it is your name after all but maybe add a sound effect like a pop or bang or something short and sweet

I like the shortness, I have since taken intro's off of my video's but I may add a short 1-2 second clip with a brand just to brand myself, so I like what you did there.

Short is good, but the colors are muddy. The gray on the top half of the 8 blends with the background. I think I'd like the 8 better if it were more symmetrical. Maybe consider adding a freeware sound effect or two to the clip.
