Intro Help

I have read most of the other threads on this topic so I already know it is too long for most peoples tastes, but besides shortening it up is there anything you all would do?

The intro is on my youtube account, just search smitty1krr. I can't add.links or embed video yet because I only have 4 posts so far. Feel free to subscribe while you are there!

This tips or a plug ;)

Have a look round a few people's channels, see what appeals and what doesn't, and see what sticks out most to you in both, whether it's actual length of time, or perceived length of time. Calm Biker's vids have a 10 second intro, but it just doesn't feel like it to me.

My intro is only 8 seconds long, and will contain the title to the video, I think sort and sweet is the way to go, as your subscribers are going to end up watching it over and over.

When we talk about intro times, usually does not include the title because title length varies, so the title time might differ.

My intro is longer than most, about 18 seconds, but right now it seems to be working. I will probably shorten it in the future, though. It really depends upon the content, like everything else. You can also cue your videos to start after the intro, if I am correct, so your subs don't have to sit through the same thing every vid. Once I get the format down 100% for my vids, I plan to do this.

I also use music in my intro, which can be hit or miss. The music you think is cool might be annoying to 95% of people who watch it.

My idea, something I see a lot on French Youtube Channel, you start 10-15 seconds your video with your story.
After 5 seconds, your intro (enough), and the rest of your video.
People subscribe because of the global quality of your work ;)
