It's one of the most striking things about Switzerland, all of the rivers have brilliant shades of blue and green to them, yet the lakes are so pure and crystal clear.
I have fond memories of Chatel on French/Swiss border. Ski lift carries your mountain bike up, you bike down into Switzerland and have a baguette and goats cheese (no joke).
Once your belly is full, get the ski lift back up and bike back down into France.
It's funny you mention that as I did similar recently with a little ski lift and a mountain go kart! The video's up on my channel if it tickles your fancy.
I'd love to get into the mountain biking side of things here. The Swiss are a little crazy though as they put the brakes on the wrong way around (right brake lever is the rear brake) and I almost killed myself on a push bike as a result.
Is goats cheese unusual? I've seen it a lot even in the UK.
Added your kart video to watch later playlist. Love the idea.
Yeah, the brakes round the other way caused a friend to wipe out on a hire bike when attempting a massive skid.
Got a massive skid on his face instead.
On the goat's cheese, I enjoyed it there, but didn't enjoy it when back home.
Must have been the good local stuff, not the "export" version.
Strong taste, soft cheese.
