Have anyone stateside tried this mic? It's a best buy brand, but the reviews are good. The only thing turning me off is that the cord is 20 feet!! I have no ideal where I'm suppose to hide that. I guess my jacket?

It comes with
  • 1/4" plug adapter, GoPro adapter
  • Foam windscreen, clothing clip, battery (LR44), soft storage pouch
  • Omnidirectional Lapel Microphone
  • Owner's manual
There is also a cheaper version for $20 that doesn't come with the fancy stuff.

I was thinking about picking it up today so I can start vlogging.

Looks like the AT3350 mic I use. same type of battery box and cord length. I wrapped the cord around a 2 liter bottle, taped it into a loop, and taped it to the top of my helmet under the liner. Works great and I dont even feel it. Not sure on the audio quality of this one, but the one I use sounds pretty good. The battery is good for a whole riding season, as long as you dont forget to turn it off at the end of the day.

Why not just cut the cord to size and re-solder the jack? I'm using a 10$ mic for my videos and even though its not perfect it does the job just fine.
