How To Record Bluetooth Audio For Gopro (or Any Cam)

Hey guys, here is s short video that some may find useful or not. It seems to work ok. A dedicated mic setup for your camera would obviously be better but this is just a test to show that it can be done.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video, I have found it quite helpful. I'm still working my mic situation out as I prefer to have a session on the side of my helmet, instead of my bulky hero 4, which sticks out quite a ways because the microphone I have is straight away from the usb connector and it's mounted on the right side. This should get me going with what I need in the mean time so thank you very much!

I'm not 100% sure why anyone would do this as a mic is so cheap.

However, just because I don't have a need for it. Others will.

I"m going to move this to the main forum as it's really well explained and I appreciate you posting this in the right section but I'm moving it so it gains more exposure

Cool thanks guys.

Its not the best solution but if someone is in a pinch with no mic its worth a shot at least. Was just testing out some option before I EVENTUALLY get my ass in gear and get a mic sorted out.

Just had to say I tried it out earlier today (my mic stuff is in the mail) and it seemed to work alright. Thanks again for the temporary fix.

Firstly good work on the video explain this.

I tried this solution with my Sena 20S. While the audio quality was good enough to use i found that the app would randomly crash and corrupt the files.
Also i did not like the fact that i could not listen to music at the same time.

I used "Bluetooth Voice Recorder" for android in first motovlog. While the audio quality is only AAC 8000 Hz @ 32 kbps in mono, it allowed me to listen to music at the same time, turn off the screen, use other apps without it crashing and use GPS via Google Maps at the same time. I did not do any audio editing prior to using it directly in Sony Vegas Pro. Only a little volume boost on the audio track.

Just my two cents worth.

I think the crashing is due to using the LITE version of the app. Once I had the paid version the app didn't crash at all. A sneaky tactic to get users to buy the full version I think...

I tried Bluetooth Recorder as well but the quality I got was pretty bad but that could've been down to a few things.

I've just ordered the SENA backpack for GoPro so that will make my life much easier.

This was an interim experiment.

It was the paid app that was crashing for me. Every phone will react differently of course. Other wise Cinema F5V is a very good app, i meant no disrespect to the developer.
It might be a good option for short 4k non-face vlogs if your phone supports it.
Agreed though either option is only good for an interim step.
