Yes, nothing beats track time for learning curve, except for dirt riding. It's worth every single penny. You will grow so much as a rider!

**edit** That pun was unintentional, but it's AWESOME!

Think they intend to form a competition group from the folk who can do it properly.

& can afford to spend 2k on a stunt bike + the same amount on a engine cage.

This is the video i watched, it broke down all the element of getting your positioning right quite well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvBGh2b5WSU

You find when you start putting it into practice, step by step, your leaning the bike less and feel a lot more comfortable once you get used to it. Start with something that doesnt change your style drastically straight away, like the position of your backside. Once you get past the first step, it all starts to fall into place.

I'll give it a go.

Last trackday I did in the rain helped my wet riding more than anything else I've done.

I havnt done one yet, think i'll do one next year. Will good to get there and be able to take out the restrictors and see what my bike can really do.

Go for it, the trackday really improved my confidence on wet roads. That said, the engine in my GPZ305 blew up on the way home from the track, but hey-ho, can't have it all ways.

Also i guess its the chance to let properly lose in relative safety.

In the uk there's a motogymkahna group trying to start up, they tour the country giving people tuition on how to do it around their courses.

Think they intend to form a competition group from the folk who can do it properly.

i wouldnt mind Seeing them lol would be awesome!

2k on an engine cage!?

Is yours made of platinum?

A renthal engine cage, sports rack and top box for my bike in a special deal comes to £170.

Competition group doesn't have to mean you're an olympiad.

Could be a league based thing, I've no idea. Have a google for motogymkahna uk, and see what the deal is.

They have a facebook page too.

These are the guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-OqqlvazCQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I was just throwing a wacky number out. A propper engine case will cost more than £170 alone, (A decent one) My R&G crash bungs cost £80 alone. Fork crash bungs and Rear spools can cost around £80 together.

R&g crash bungs are branded crud.

A Renthal engine cage is a bit more solid and substantial than 2 polypropylene oversized skateboard wheels bolted to your frame.

Why would an engine cage cost a fortune? It's just tubular steel bent into shape, welded and bolted on.

jorian has been in the stunt scene for years,

he never use to post videos until a cinemaographer found him randomly years ago and make a 5 min sample clip i think called shackles and chains.

since then everyone knows who jorian is.

kid does have skills, takes alot of brake control to be able to throw a bike around like that with consistant minute throttle adjustments.

just goes to show how good some stunt riders really are

Three good videos, beautifull bike control, there are lots of quiet but bendy roads here, so lots of safe place to practice cornering, though my current bike is hardly one for trackdays :P

jorian has been around for sometime now,

but the better drifter is

Nic apex.
