High End Camera Setups

The camera on Go Pro is more than adequate for vlogging at night, people don't care that much if your content is good and it's not too grainy.

GoPros are high end enough for what I do... now content and editing, that's what needs an upgrade. Basically, I just try everything that strikes my fancy, hope for the best, throw it on YouTube, and see what happens. Helps to be a little thick skinned... some of my stuff is pretty awful.

For me, audio is more important that vid, I tend to have the vids playing in a new window and most of the time im working around them

As a counter argument good content doesn't, for me, counter a bad set up. If your audio is muddy or has a lot of wind noise you could be saying some brilliant stuff but I'm not going to listen for long. Same is true if your video is horrible.

When I originally started this thread I was thinking it would be interesting to shoot high quality video with a more cinematic quality, but it seems that the consensus, at least amongst motovloggers, that what is being said or done is the most important aspect of motovlogging. I also like to see where people are riding and like anything that makes that content look better.

It's cool and stuff to do high quality, but it's mainly about the actual content too.
