thanks i agree the varadero is a great bike
and i have just realised about the insurance :(

I really wanted something like the GSXR. R6, 600RR or a Duke 696. But it was insurance that killed the 'dream first bike', But I'm more than happy with my SV.

Start looking around, a first propper bike I'd suggest either, Sports Tourer or Sit up & beg bikes. Due to them being cheap on insurance.

FZ6's
Sv's
CBR-F's
Hornet
Bandit

Hope these help, Look forward to the first Vlog :)

From experience don't get an inline 4 restricted, get a 500 twin, the kawasaki GPZ500 would be a very good choice, ask Cheesecake!

Welcome, loads of 125's joined in the past few days.

I must disagree with Daffee, in my experience inline fours are fine restricted! (well, the bandit is at least!)

Blake, my bike is nothing like it is unrestricted, 500s restricted are much faster than 600 inline 4s restricted, i ve ridden a CBF500 restricted and its far more responsive than my Fazer is, you probably think its fine now because you only just got the bike, but you will get bored of the power! I mean the power is enough to get you around, but i really feel the lack of it on open roads and overtaking.

I agree with Daffee,

Restricted inline 4's take longer to build up power/torque compared to twins.

To "have fun" on an inline 4 the power is at 6k+ revs, with it being restricted it would take forever to build up enough to make a ride 'fun'.

Reason why i chose the SV V-Twin so much torque low end it doesnt really effect the bike. Still good at 120 and just boot loads of torque.

Restricted bikes id highly recomend a Twin over a v4 or inline 4.
