Hey Everyone! Let's Change The World :)

There is no such thing as too visible
Greetings fellow motorcycle/vlog enthusiasts! My name is Josh. I just turned 27 and have been riding for the last 3 years now. I'm a huge advocate for motorcycle safety in terms of wearing the appropriate gear, becoming the most skilled rider I can be, as well as finding unique/fun ways to get drivers to ACTUALLY look out for motorcycles for a change. I live by a lot of quotes, here are two of the most important:

"If you believe you can do it, you're absolutely right. If you believe you CAN'T do it, you're absolutely right".

"Be the change you want to see in the world"

Cheers! Look forward to getting to know more of you as time goes on :)

P.S. My channel is called TryItAtHome on youtube if you're interested. I focus on being a very positive, clean, charitable vlogger and am also developing new technologies to make us more visible on the roadways.

Welcome! Being more visible is good, but not much use if drivers are not even paying attention to road (busy with updating social media/texting), just my thought. Better to assume they never see you at all and be defensive.

True, but at the very least I think it puts the driver even more at fault if they claim they didn't see you when your helmet lights up like a Xmas tree lol. Honestly I think the biggest issue with distracted drivers is that they are straight up bored. And let's face it, driving is chore, riding is a passion. I think we need to find ways to make driving less boring if they're ever truly going to look out for us... That's way I can't wait for smart cars. Computers don't get bored.

I like to wear black, so I could be a lot smarter in the visibility department. I do ride a bright red motorbike now, instead of a black one, though.

Well, any bright color is a good thing! TBH I ride around in one of those bright banana yellow reflective vests over my jacket every day. At the very least it gives the impression that I'm doing my best to be seen and ride safely; plus I've never been pulled over while wearing the safety vest. Could be a coincidence, but I don't mind looking like a banana in the name of visibility and prevention of tickets :D

On US Military bases, riders have to wear reflective vests over their jackets if the jackets aren't already reflective. I always hated it back then because I wanted to look "cool" on my Harley, but it's actually pretty smart (looking at it 20 years later).
