I don't think the Session has any bluetooth audio whatsoever. If it was directly compatible with my Sena, I'd buy one today.

Yeah I don't see them ever adding bluetooth audio directly. Then they would lose sells on all the extra parts you need for the regular gopros

I heard the motorola boom and Plantronics were the best on the market right now but they don't do good against wind noise.

Yeah, but you can't even snap-on an add-on module to the Session so it's still relegated to dash cam, locations you couldn't fit a regular action cam, and secondary views. It's no replacement. I'll wait for gen 2 or 3 when they get serious about it. Don't be surprised if Sony fires back with an even smaller ActionCam.

Sony already compacted down their action cam quite a bit compared to the previous models (as10, as20, as100v, etc.).

Here is a side by side:

Sony's biggest issue was mounts. If the mounts were more interchangeable and had more customization then sony hands down would be the better camera in my opinion.

Mounts aren't a problem. There are tons available and the kit comes with a tripod adapter which is compatible with any GoPro tripod adapter so you can use GoPro-compatible mounts. The AZ1 was released a year ago. If they really want to, they could further shrink the size to close to the session. I'd be surprised if they aren't already working on it.

Sony actually lost me as a costumer for a future action camera. Their quality has gone down significantly from the first AS10 & AS15 and I would not recommend them to anyone. The power / turn on button on the AS100V wears out too quick, the quality of the footage gets progressively worse as the camera heats up... Nope, Sony is done in my opinion.

If you want one I would suggest getting the black bodied ones. But, they shut down as they overheat... You just can't win with them. GoPro has their own set of problems I am sure, but it is where I will be going to in the future, I can tell you that right now.

By power button you mean the 'any' button? I've been using my AS100V for years with no issues. Maybe you should send it in for service.

I sent it in for service twice... That rear button pushes on a plastic hand, and that gets fatigued over time. Then you can press it as much as you want, it won't turn on or off the unit anymore. I was using it as a dashcam, and frequent pressing of that button was done. The AS15 took it like a champ, the AS100 did not. I still use the AS100 as a dashcam, but use the app to remotely turn it on and off.

The wrist remote works really well for starting and stopping video. Holds a charge for a long time, too.
