Helmets - Airflow - Motovlogging

Have you mastered the sacred form of motovlogging audio? What helmet do you use? I need a new one anyway

I have a shoei RF1200. Its not bad, but im still playing with mic position as I just got it this summer. My 100 subs video is with the new lid if you want to hear it as it is now.

I tried it behind the pad with the foam sock on it. I am thinking of cutting a slit in the cheek pad foam and sticking it in there to get it off the shell. Maybe that buffer will help.

I have it right there I also built a deadcat for it which works great until I get on the highway around 45ish on up

i ended up taking my mic putting foam over it and then covering the foam with a finger of a nitrile glove. im at work so i can not find the link on youtube (no youtube for me :( )for the video i learned from. it makes a huge difference in wind noise.

I use my old HJC FG-17 with a sony ECM mic mounted on the chin bar...I barely hear wind in any of my videos. Just keep the mouth vent closed and you will be fine.

Ever since I chin mounted my gopro the wind noise is almost non existent. The only problem is I wear glasses so on cold days there is almost no airflow into the front of the helmet because of the gopro so my glasses fog up like crazy :/

I have a Shoei RF1100 which is the bomb diggity.

I wear glasses and have shaking problems at higher speeds... I did not read all the post so.... But I use a speed and strength 1300 series helmet that works great and a Sony mic. You can take a listen on my channel. vbeast is my channel. One thing I know is never go cheap on a mic. I payed like $35 and people ask what my set up is because it sound so clear.... Not to toot my own horn, but it sounds amazing....

Shoei GT-Air, I can't feel any airflow through the chin vent.

But what sucks about the helmet is that they make it difficult to mount a GoPro on the chin.
