Hello all...
I'm Damien, been riding longer than most popular motovloggers have been alive and I've been throwing around the idea of starting a channel for about a year now.

If/when I do it will be pretty basic as I'm too old for loud intro music and I don't randomly scream and make noise like some of the vloggers I subscribe to lol...

I live just outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and absolutely hate riding in town. Unfortunately there are very few roads near me worth riding so my main focus has always been track days. However, as a father of enough kids to have a basketball team, trackdays were an expense that had to go.

I haven't ridden all that much in the past few years (OK the past 8 years) but I'm hoping that will change soon.

I've already seen some great information here for getting started with my channel and I'm sure I'll be picking people's brains for info on editing as I've never done video before.

Hiya :-)

I think (certainly in the UK anyhows) that trackdays are where it is at if you wanna ride quick, a much safer environment should it go wrong. I'm contemplating sorting a second bike that I can track as well as be a tit on on the road that isn't too precious should it take a tumble! :-)

Taking a tumble on a pristine bike is no fun no matter where it is. My last track toy was my everyday street ride as well... An 07 zx10r which I bought new in early 08. Everyone would always ask why I didn't have frame sliders on it and commented on how clean the bike was. I always got the "what if you crash" question in regard to it being my street bike and no sliders...
I always replied with "well I guess I just won't crash" or something similar. I mean it was a track day. Sure I rode in the advanced group, but it wasn't a race. It was just for fun. One of the local pro racers passes me.. Oh well. There's no trophy at the end of the day. I was obviously fast enough to hang with the big boys, I had nothing to prove to anyone lol

The thing I'm having the biggest issue with is what to call myself for my vlogger account on yt.

I guess I should explain my name here for any who may not know... Dlsgap is short for Deal's Gap... Aka the dragon... Doubt any of you need an explanation of what that is.

I used to live there and my dad was the one who initially marketed the area to motorcyclists in the early to mid 90s so many could say he's to blame for it being so crazy up there now.

I considered just sticking with that name since I've used it on nearly every bike forum I've been on, but since I have no longer have any affiliation with them I didn't know if a change was in order.
