I know most guys here are vlogging on road bikes so I'm not sure how practical this mount would be in that case, but it's been brilliant for dirt riding. We've found the chinbar on the helmet is the best all round mount and it's been easy to just unclip the gripper mount and either hand film or put on the helmet of another rider.
If you use the skeleton door for the Gopro case it picks up spoken audio quite well but there would be too much wind noise when road riding, I suspect.
