Gopro's Infamous Right Angled Microphone Adaptor..

Quick question, has anyone found a reliable source for the right angled microphone adaptors, or is it still make your own?
Simple reason being, I left my soldering iron at my old place when I moved out, and don't see the need to get one for something I can buy for a couple of quid.

This was a badly phrased question, I'm referring to the Right angled mic adaptors.

Don't GoPro only make a straight one and the right angle ones are chinese, and also variable quality as to whether they work or not?

I'm sure I read in here that some of the cheap ones didn't work as they were only wired on the power pins, and the audio uses other pins.

Mine didn't work.

There are problems with the newer GoPro's because a resistor is now needed in the mic adapter that some of the knock off Chinese ones don't have.

I have a direct plug in one from China. .. works great ... if anyone wants my gopro branded adaptor let me know and it's yours!

Okay to get the ball rolling ... Mine isn't working. The mic has a constant buzzing noise, and the adapter is just dead. Now I have to wait another two weeks for the next one to come. This adapter (mini-USB to 3.5 mm) is apparently impossible to find in my city!

Sadly you gonna have to wait for another, unless you know how to mod etc.

Maybe when I'm super bored I'll give it a shot, I'm sure it can't be anything more than cut-reconnect with soldering on the side, but otherwise I'll just wait it out

the cheapo right angle ones work fine i have found you need to make sure its really pushed in all the way compared to the normal adapters. I was iffy about the thin cord at first but it has worked well, the extra flexibility comes in handy from time to time
