Gopro Session Is Now A Less Insane Price

Hi all

I was just browing the GoPro.com site and it has a new price on the Session of US$199 which is a lot less ridiculous than it used to be. I had ruled it out as a second camera due to the insane price (NZ$600 here) but maybe it's worth revisiting? Could be nice now I have a naked bike with less places to stick cameras.

Anybody else even slightly more interested now?

Cheers

Chris

not having an external mic is a killer for the motovlog crowd. I have it as a secondary camera, or a "safety" camera if I'm not vlogging. I also use it for MTB and stuff.
it makes a good second angle cam.

Tested my buddy's Session 4, not bad, not great either.

What I liked:
- small and light weight
- one button on+record; stop+shutdown

What I didn't like:
- terrible sound if going at speed (slow is alright)
- cannot fit the GoPro USB adapter (it uses USB slim type) for the external microphone

If you are running dual/separate recording for video and audio then the Session 4 should be alright.

It's not just for motovlogging, some people use external microphones for normal recording, because the stock Hero4 mic is not that fancy.

The price cut thing is also happening in my country, that's why I thought about getting one, but after trying my friend's one out, I would pass on it. Better to get another Hero4 instead, in my opinion.

Definitely agree with everyone. For non motovlog requirements, the session is not a bad little all in one camera. Using it on a bike is rough though.
