Hey everyone,

Just wondering if I should leave my default settings at 1080 120 fps. Right now I'm at 30 fps. New to all this and not sure if it is wise to do 120 fps always. As I understand it most videos are in 30fps and want to make sure my vlog uploads properly.

Youtube doesn't support above 60fps, so little point in recording above unless you want to do super slowmo stuff. For normal vlogs, 30fps is adequate, 60fps looks great, other than that, it's down to what your computer can process and how good your internet connection is at uploading larger files.

Yeah, keep it 60fps or less, unless you're doing an epic edit and 120fps will be needed for those jaw-dropping slow motion shots lol. I highly recommend making 60fps the standard though.

Hey guys. In my new blog I went out at night and shot at 24fps. Figured I would do an informal test for you. I'll post the vid in the motovlog section. It's titled Ep: 6.

Most motovloggers have made the switch to 60fps as it looks way better than 30fps for motion.

No point going above in my opinion unless you specifically want to do slow motion as YouTube only supports up to 60fps and 120fps munches your storage and battery!

Yeah I usually do 60fps, but was told to try 30fps for night time shooting. I gave 24fps a shot this week. I'll do 30fps next night video and see how they compare.

Be sure to RENDER in 60fps as well. If you don't get the 1080X60 option on your videos once uploaded to YT its not X60...

2 examples from my channel

note the X60

recorded in x60 but not rendered correctly ...learning curve heh
