Gopro Hero Session

Does anyone use the GoPro Hero Session? Looking for another camera to use for additional angles, so doesnt need external mic. They have come down to a decent price but dont want to rush into something.

I use it. For now it's the only camera I have. They did do a firmware update so you can change some settings on the camera now without having to use the app. The issues I've had are with the battery. Temp extremes will shorten the battery life quite a bit so make sure it's fully charged. It also can have some issues connecting to the app for previewing and reviewing footage. But for $200 the issues will seem small.

Cheers. It definetly seems like a goer. To get GoPro quality at that price even makes the el cheapos a waste.

Tried it out, video quality no bad, doesn't go 60 fps when 1080p though, max 48 fps.

I was going to buy Session but, external mic is really needed. I didnt like the performance of the mic on it. good at 70-80kph but higher speeds make really so much noise. maybe go for Hero 3?

Which Hero model does the Session conpare to most in quality? They're about £150 here now (quick look on Amazon). Be nice to have an alternative view that's at 1080/60 same as my Drift.

I own a session and have been playing around with it for the last week or so. Main issue for me is the lack of an external mic. Workaround for me was the Parrot App from the android store and using my uClear HBC100 Plus as a blue tooth mic of sorts. Obviously not optimal, but kind of works so far.

I've actually thought about grabbing a couple hero 3 just for my bike mounts. I havent heard anything bad about the SJ M10 either though

was considering it as a secondary camera, but the features and performance, for the price, just wasn't good enough for me. So I ended up with a second sony instead.

The Session doesn't do 1080/60.. I believe it's 1080/48.
