Good Audio On The Water At Speed?

Has anyone had good luck getting clean audio via external mic on the water (boat/waverunner e/t/c) at speed?

If so please post up your rig, dead cat e/t/c?

A dead cat will only do so much. If you want the sound of the engine you could try and find a place that is dry and out of the way of the wind. A dead cat won't do much when you direct 40mph wind blasts right at it.

Started editing last night..came out better than expected, I'll post up how I had the mic setup e/t/c

You ever catch my shout out dutch?!?! (20s in)

So here's the setup I used on a Waverunner...

Mic is this one (you can get the Chinese version for about 10 bucks on fleabay)

I found this fabric at Michaels Crafts and sewed it around the mic...

Used one of the GF's hairbands and voila...

I clipped the cam to the brim of my hat which was not stable but I forgot my Chest harness...

Video should be done this week...
